Wireless Access Control

Appears in the issue.

SecureGuard is a new wireless access control system that allows anyone with a cell phone or Internet access to remotely control operation of a gate or door. It works regardless of the distance of the operator to the facility, and it operates over a secure channel. The device attaches directly to the gate controller. Users simply call the system and enter the gate ID and a unique access code. Servers validate the entries and instantly send a wireless command to operate the gate. Administrators can assign multiple access codes for individual users based on unique conditions for each account. They can also view and print logs, set up e-mail notifications of each use, and open the gate by pushing a button. The system is made by Dallas-based Remote Entry Systems, LLC, and distributed by Master Halco of Orange, California
