Moxa Americas, Inc., of Brea, California, has provided a firm­ware upgrade for its 802.11n series of wireless access points. The upgrade will increase speed and functionality for the AWK-3131 and AWK-4131 models, with improved throughput up to 150 Mbps, automatic backup configuration via Moxa’s ABC-01 unit, automatic negotiation for four-pin Ethernet cables, and other improvements. The devices are engineered for high-speed WLANs in factory automation, petrochemical plants, and other challenging environments.
