New 5.8 GHz IP-Ready Wireless Power Boxes from Videolarm of Decatur, Georgia, simplify and speed construction of complex wireless camera infrastructures with other IP-based technologies, eliminating cable networks and making data transmission almost instantaneous. The boxes are outdoor-rated and include a UL-approved power supply. They offer secure, 128-bit encrypted data transmission of up to two miles at 54 Mbps. The PB24L58 includes a power supply designed for 220 VAC or 110 VAC input with 24 VAC output for the camera. It is fuse-protected and has built-in directional and omnidirectional antennas. For applications that require only a wireless receiver and transmitter, the company offers the VLRL58 wireless box. Both boxes are easy to install, bolting to the backs of wall-mount domes.
