Boston-based Fluidmesh Networks, Inc., has introduced two new products to support its wireless systems for security applications. The Fluidmesh 2100 Endo is a single-radio version of the 2200 Endo. It is designed to be embedded in outdoor enclosures for special applications such as monitoring in classified areas. It supports the patent-pending FluidMAX technology and can be used to create point-to-point, point-to-multipoint, and mesh architectures. Users can limit the total cost of ownership by paying for only the amount of bandwidth required. Additional throughput can be achieved by upgrading the system with software plug-ins as requirements increase. The company’s Firmware 5.1.3, compatible with all Fluidmesh products, offers IEEE 802.1q VLAN support, improved FMQuadro interface, and a more-robust wireless protocol that will improve network performance in high interference areas.
