Kaba Access Control of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, has introduced E-Plex Enterprise Software that manages its E-Plex PIN-based E3200 and E5200 series and proximity-based E3700 and E5700 series electronic locks and controllers. The software can be installed in client/server environments for networking, or as a stand-alone application. It includes full-featured database import capabilities to download complete user information. The Access Groups feature simplifies programming and management of thousands of users in thousands of locks or controllers. Other features include an SQL database, audit reporting, time schedules, and vacation and holiday blocks.
Matrix Systems of Dayton, Ohio, has released its Frontier 2010 access control software, which features built-in interfaces for both Schlage and Videx CyberLock wireless hardware. The software is a comprehensive and scalable security solution that provides real-time monitoring of access doors and alarm points for local and remote locations. The latest version offers built-in interfaces for Schlage wireless lock solutions, which can be installed five to 10 times faster than wired lock alternatives. The built-in interface for CyberLock electronic lock cylinders allows the CyberLock to record access events via the Frontier software. A wizard-based import-export capability allows users to customize data formatting, data fields, and the amount of data transferred. The new software allows users to import background images and combine them with CAD and custom-drawn images that can be edited within the software.
Four new high-resolution, 1⁄3-inch CCD analog cameras are now available from JVC Professional Products of Wayne, New Jersey. The TK-C2201U and TK-C2201WPU are compact, fixed-dome cameras, while the TK-C9200U and TK-C9300U are box-style cameras. All four models provide high resolution with 580 TV lines and feature a 12-bit digital signal processor for high-quality images. Super LoLux Sensitivity assures precise color reproduction in challenging lighting conditions, as low as 0.05 lux in color mode and 0.006 lux in black-and-white mode. Other features allow for precise monitoring, including automatic gain control, automatic electronic shutter, and privacy masking. The TK-C2201U and TK-C2201WPU feature a variable focus lens with a fine focus adjustment. The ER-W24 wall-mounted equipment rack from Video Mount Products of Stevensville, Maryland, accommodates security equipment without using floor space. The rack is designed so that the installer can mount the wall plate and arrange equipment in the rack before mounting the rack on the wall. The EIA-compliant rack offers 13 rack spaces with a usable depth of 19 inches and a load capacity of 100 pounds. The new MPro 120 PocketProjector from 3M of St. Paul, Minnesota, uses LEDs from OSRAM Opto Semiconductors of Regensburg, Germany. The micro projector can be connected to laptops, mobile phones, and cameras so users can project photos or videos on a wall. Depending on lighting conditions, the cell-phone-sized unit can project images of more than a meter, measured diagonally. Use of multichip LEDs makes the projector very efficient and provides excellent color reproduction. Low energy consumption conserves the battery and ensures longer operating times. The projectors offer full VGA resolution, market-leading brightness, and integrated speakers.
