DOOR ACCESS MODULE

The Door and I/O Module is the newest addition to the CyberLock Flex System from Videx of Corvallis, Oregon. The unit brings the access capabilities of the CyberLock solution to doors: brisk communications, location graphics, access scheduling by door and person, audit reporting of lock and key activity, and e-mail alerts. Using the Flex System Hub, a facility can employ a variety of hardware to create an integrated access control system, including Door and I/O Modules, eCylinders, and smart padlocks. The module can activate a variety of relay-based devices, including electric door strikes, security cameras, and remote alarms.

FULL-HEIGHT TURNSTILE

Boon Edam Inc. of Lillington, North Carolina, has redesigned its Tomsed THT-100 full-height turnstile with functional and aesthetic improvements to increase visual appeal, security, durability, and ease of installation. The turnstile features a smooth, seamless, tamperproof ceiling; extra-wide mid-posts for easier conduit runs; and top channel electrical controls housed in a weatherproof box. A fully enclosed mounting box for card readers keeps all wiring inside, a flush-mounted authorization light is housed in the end posts at eye level, and optional metal rotor post covers create a smooth rounded effect in the center of the turnstile.

GPS PLATFORM

New York City-based BrickHouse Security has released the BrickHouse Security Tracking and Advanced Fleet Tracking GPS platforms. These fully customizable platforms work with a wide range of units suited for each customer’s unique requirements, including real-time tracking, travel history reports, and location status. For short-term tracking, 10-, 30-, and 60-day rental plans are available. The new platforms work via an innovative graphical user interface, optimized for any smartphone. After purchasing a device and choosing a subscription service, customers can track their people or assets from any location with an Internet connection.

IP DOME CAMERA

DM Network Video of Chantilly, Virginia, has introduced the FireVu Dome and Integrated Fire Annunciator Product. The unit combines video smoke and flame detection with video transmission capability to transmit fire alarms to the FV1 annunciator virtual fire alarm panel. The device allows commercial property owners to visually verify smoke and fire alarms before other types of alarms sense the danger and before damage can occur. Video verification can also prevent the transmission of false alarms to fire stations. The unit fully integrates with existing fire alarm and building management systems.

REMOTE MONITORING

The new MASmobile application for MASterMind allows customers and technicians to view system status summaries, event and test history, zones, and contacts from an iPhone or iPad device. MASterMind is security automation software from MAS, a business of UTC Fire & Security based in Costa Mesa, California. The platform provides a fully integrated enterprise solution for monitored security service providers and proprietary central stations. Extended job management features include adding job parts, processing payments, modifying inventory, and capturing customer signatures to acknowledge job completion.
