GAI-Tronics Corporation of Mohnton, Pennsylvania, has designed its native Wi-Fi VoIP Emergency Telephones to complement its RED ALERT VoIP Emergency Telephones. The hands-free telephones provide point-to-point communications between personnel over an existing wireless local area network. Whether used in a completely wireless installation or to extend the VoIP system to areas where cable installation is prohibitive, the Wi-Fi telephones provide reliable service. The ADA-compliant, SIP-compatible phones work on a wireless platform that meets IEEE 802.11 b/g standards. In addition to standard telephone functionality, the phones feature alarm reporting that enables system supervisors to monitor each telephone’s activity and address caller needs immediately. They also include an embedded browser for Web page configuration.
