CINTEC North America of Baltimore, Maryland, offers the Waterwall System to protect people and infrastructure. The Suspicious Object Isolator sequesters potentially explosive devices that may be found in an airport or other public place. It is first inflated with air to provide stability, and then filled with water via a fire hose, displacing the air. Pressures behind the blast wave are substantially reduced, heat is absorbed, and fragmentation is decreased or eliminated. The compact design allows for easy storage and rapid deployment. Specific dimensions are tailored to suit customer requirements. The company also makes a 3-meter-high Waterwall that can protect the exterior of a building from the effects of a car bomb or other explosive.
