The Women’s Security Council (WSC) Women of the Year Awards are now open for nominations.
The awards honor women for their contributions to the security industry in several different categories. From now until the end of February, the nomination form will be available on the WSC Web site.
“There are so many successful women in the industry today that deserve to be honored for their dedication and support,” said Rhianna Daniels, a founding committee member of the Women’s Security Council.
"The WSC Women of the Year awards program is an important event for WSC as it highlights the women in the security industry who have demonstrated their roles as leaders in the field and those who are emerging as the future of the industry."
The first WSC awards ceremony was last year at ISC West 2012 and honored seven women for their work in the field. This year’s ceremony will take place at ISC West 2013 this April in Las Vegas.
WSC was created in 2010 as a way for women in the industry to network and find professional guidance. As WSC expands, it is also building a members-only database for members to find mentors.
