Integrated Biometrics of Spartanburg, South Carolina, has introduced Watson-Mini, a small, fast, two-finger scanner that has achieved FBI Appendix F certification. It offers high-quality imaging in dirty environments, even in direct sunlight. It does not use a membrane and does not require latent prints to be wiped from the sensor surface. The unit can be used for both enrollment and verification of single, multiple, or roll fingerprint applications. It can be embedded in hardware or connected via a USB port. Its Light Emitting Sensor technology uses a charged polymer film that interacts with human skin.
