Made by Speco Technologies of Amityville, New York, has introduced a new series of IP/network cameras that feature built-in servers to work with Internet Explorer. No special software is required for basic viewing, control, and re-cording. Some models also feature the company’s Intensifier technology, which amplifies and maximizes existing light to generate pictures in darkness. All models feature the Linux operating system, both MPEG-4 and JPG codecs, support of dynamic and IP addresses, changeable and selectable ports to handle multiple cameras, selectable resolution, and multiple levels of password protection.
