Two new complete card identity systems are available from Fargo Electronics, Inc., of Minneapolis. They include the hardware, software, and other materials needed to create secure cards. The DTC550 Card Identity System is designed for medium to large enterprises. Its modular design allows the system to expand with customer needs. It consists of a DTC550 single-sided printer/encoder, ID software, camera software, a digital camera, full-color ribbon, cable, and 500 PVC cards. The DTC400 Card Identity System is designed for small to medium organizations. It is easy to operate and can be upgraded to add dual-sided printing or smart-card, proximity, and magnetic stripe encoding. The system includes a DTC400 printer/encoder, software, camera, ribbon, cable, and 300 cards.
