Axis Communications of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, has announced that its AXIS 70U Network Document Server will be bundled with the new HP Scanjet 7650n Document Flatbed Scanner from Hewlett-Packard Company of Palo Alto, California. The new bundle will offer customers reduced costs and improved productivity for small and medium businesses. The solution enables users to digitize and manage paper-based information by simply scanning a picture, form, or document and selecting a destination address from the distribution list in the server. After pressing “send,” the scanned item is digitized and sent as an attachment to e-mail or file servers. It can be integrated with document archiving and databases. The solution lowers costs and increases speed and reliability when compared to courier, fax, and traditional mail.
