Twenty-eight illegal aliens have been arrested for using fake security-IDs to access restricted areas at O'Hare International Airport in Chicago.

Twenty-eight illegal aliens have been arrested for using fake security-IDs to work in secure areas of O'Hare International Airport in Chicago, Illinois.

According to the Chicago Sun-Times [1]:

Through Ideal Staffing Solutions Inc. -- a temporary employment agency based in Bensenville -- the undocumented aliens got jobs working on the O'Hare tarmac, loading freight and meals onto commercial airliners. In some case, the workers were able to get through O'Hare security with badges that had been deactivated.

Two employees of Ideal Staffing Solutions, Inc., were arrested during the sweep as well. They will be charged with federal counts of harboring illegal aliens and misusing Social Security numbers.

How did Ideal Staffing Solutions, Inc., run this scam?

Their methods were not sophisticated reported the Sun-Times.

Ideal Staffing allegedly kept a box with discarded airport security badges. On Oct. 11, Benitez [ the company's illegal alien office manager ] told an employee to pick out the badge "with a picture that most closely resembled his own likeness," according to court documents. Though the badge had been deactivated, the worker was able to use it to gain access to a United cargo facility.

The employee had never been fingerprinted, as required by Aviation Department rules.

The BBC reports [2]the security applications filled out by Ideal Staffing used fictitious Social Security numbers or simply ones that belonged to other people, some of them dead.

The scam, though, was profitable as Ideal Staffing and other staffing agencies charge airlines more than $30 an hour at times for its employees, while paying the illegal aliens they hire a minimum of $7.50 an hour. Airlines that used Ideal Staffing employees included United Airlines, KLM, and Qantas.

Expect more arrests the BBC reports as the State Attorney of Cook County has issued more than 100 arrest warrants in the case.
