The Cohu 5900 Series of thermal cameras now includes three sensor sizes to suit nearly any application. Made by San Diego-based Cohu Electronics, the cameras also offer up to eight choices of lenses for optimum image quality and an IP encoding option for converging data to one cable. Cameras use a military grade amorphous silicon thermal imager and hard carbon-coated lenses to satisfy field-of-view requirements. The camera is enclosed in a sealed and pressurized enclosure and mounted on the company’s high-speed positioner. The side-mounted camera allows an uninterrupted view beneath the installation and its 180-degree tilt axis provides greater vertical scan. The MPEG-4 encoding provides efficient bandwidth use, and user settings allow the operator to achieve maximum video streaming within the network environment.
