Honeywell Power Products of Northford, Connecticut, has launched a line of power supplies designed to solve power availability problems for expanding intrusion alarm systems. The HPS3PM (providing three amps of power) and HPS5PM (four amps) Series provide power for newly added security devices, such as door contacts, motion sensors, and keypads. Power monitoring enables the alarm panel to supervise the power supply and send notification to a central station if abnormal operation is detected. For quick installation and troubleshooting, the supplies feature LED diagnostics, power-disconnect switches, and larger enclosures.
