Optex Europe of Maidenhead, Berkshire, United Kingdom, has teamed up with Raytec of Ashington, Northumberland, United Kingdom, to launch an enhanced version of its combined camera and passive infrared REDWATCH detector. The new REDWATCH option integrates detection pattern and camera lens view with zero maintenance, long-life LED illumination from the Raytec infrared range.

The new REDWATCH option integrates detection pattern and camera lens view with zero maintenance, long-life LED illumination from the Raytec infrared range. The detector has multiple benefits including an advanced high-quality color and monochrome camera. The varifocal lens is integrated with the passive infrared. The matched fields of view of camera and detector ensure that all sensor activation is verified by the video camera and vice versa, dramatically reducing false alarm activations.
