Atlanta-based Steelbox Networks, Inc., has introduced Steelbox Enterprise, which is designed for midrange surveillance applications. The all-new DMSS 2000 offers the throughput and storage innovations of the company’s high-end solutions in an economical, compact device suitable for systems with 16 to 100 cameras. It enables simultaneous live viewing, recording, and playback of up to 100 concurrent MPEG-4 video streams. The solution can be expanded to handle more throughput capacity without additional hardware via flexible licensing based on requirements. The system includes network-attached storage up to 18 terabytes to allow more video archiving capacity.
