Minneapolis-based Fargo Electronics, Inc., has launched OnQueue Card Production Software, an application that connects multiple standalone ID card printers into a centralized system for large-volume card production. The client application sends print jobs from any PC on the network to a server, and the server-based application manages and processes the jobs. All print information is stored in a central database that makes management, backup, and archiving easy. The software automatically routes jobs to printers on the network, and it can redirect the job if there is a problem with a specific printer or job. Multiple print jobs can be sent to the server individually or in a single batch.
