Using patented high-definition printing technology, the printer produces vibrant colors, crisp images, and over-the-edge printing, even on cards with embedded electronics. 


Minneapolis-based Fargo Electronics, Inc., has introduced the HDPii Financial Card Printer for instant issuance of debit, credit, and prepaid cards. Using patented high-definition printing technology, the printer produces vibrant colors, crisp images, and over-the-edge printing, even on cards with embedded electronics. By printing the card’s text and images on the spot, banks can offer cardholders increased customization of the card, with features such as personal photos and cobranding logos. In addition, banks can dramatically reduce their supplies of preprinted cards, reducing inventory costs and simplifying operations. When the bank produces a card for a customer on the spot, risks of loss and theft in the mail are eliminated.
