Honeywell of Louisville, Kentucky, has updated its Fusion III line of digital video recorders to bridge the gap between DVRs and network video recorders. The Fusion firmware release v3.5 includes enhancements such as fully integrated video and data analytics and expanded support for digital IP video sources. These upgrades improve performance and make the recorder easier to operate. It offers full integration with Honeywell intelligent video analytics via the company’s Active Alert, Smart Impressions, and People Counter, which detect, analyze, and classify the behavior of people and vehicles in a scene. The new release expands support for digital video sources including encoders and megapixel cameras. It processes up to 16 channels and offers advanced motion detection. Camera sabotage detection is now standard, as is analog signal noise filtering.
