The HubSat remote video/data/power accessory module from Altronix of Brooklyn, New York, works as a transmitter, receiver, and power controller. It allows video feeds from four cameras to be transmitted to a remote designated location via a single structured cable while supplying the required camera power. This eliminates the possibility of voltage drop related to long wire runs. Units are designed for installation in IDF closets or other remote locations. For protection against voltage spikes, the modules feature four built-in PTC-protected power outputs. They are configurable for both AC and DC cameras when used with the HubWay Series matching video balun/combiners. The device can also be used as a standalone four-channel passive UTP receiver hub with integral distributed camera power outputs rated at one amp each.
