Genetec of Saint-Laurent, Quebec, Canada, has released the latest version of its IP access control solution. Synergis now includes a software development kit for third-party system integrations, such as human resource management, time and attendance, and fire and intrusion detection. It also offers support for badge design, custom report design, elevator control and floor tracking, and incident reports. The system currently supports a wide variety of hardware door controllers, including one- and two-reader IP controllers, and RS-485 controllers and interface modules. It also supports the VertX and Edge product lines from HID Global. With the power-over-Ethernet HID Edge Reader, the system can provide IP connectivity to the door through a single CAT-5 cable.
