The new 12001 KVM Drawer from Minneapolis-based Winsted Corporation includes a 17-inch LCD monitor, PS/2 keyboard, and touchpad mouse stored in a drawer that can be mounted in virtually all of the company’s vertical racks and most consoles. The compact unit uses only one rack unit of space, while delivering a variety of video inputs for monitoring computers, digital video recorders analog cameras, and consumer electronics. A built-in onscreen display shows connection type and other adjustment information. The flip-up design allows proper adjustment of viewing angle for a variety of mounting heights, and a self-contained power supply eliminates the low-voltage “brick” common to similar drawers.
