Fire-Lite Alarms of Northford, Connecticut, is offering the ability to monitor fire alarm panels over the Internet, eliminating the need for phone lines dedicated to fire alarm communication with a central station. The IPDACT Internet communicator module and VisorALARM-Plus receivers provide faster alarm transmission, along with a supervised line feature that verifies line connectivity every 90 seconds. The system transmits fire alarm system information over any IP network line and is programmable using either static or dynamic IP for automatic address configuration. At the central station, the receiver supports up to three destination IP receiver addresses to allow for equipment redundancies.
