Weighing less than a pound, the new SUV-Cam digital recording system from ELMO USA of Plainview, New York, helps school bus drivers solve problems such as unruly behavior, bullying, and vandalism by capturing clear images of all students on the bus and close-ups of individuals and events from any angle. Consisting of a waterproof micro camera head and dedicated MPEG-4 DVR with a 2.2-inch LCD, the system can be operated almost anywhere. Hand carried or attached to a pole or partition, it delivers more than an hour of high-quality video and audio recording on an optional 2 gigabyte SD card using a built-in mono microphone or an external microphone. It has connections for an included AC adapter, earphone, AV output, and USB2.0 port.
