Vicon Industries Inc. of Hauppauge, New York, has introduced a new version of its digital video management software. ViconNet 5.0 offers open platform flexibility, allowing for easy integration with IP cameras from most major manufacturers. It also supports megapixel cameras and the integration of ViconNet VI Video Intelligence within the ViconNet interface, as well as support for the ViconNet graphical user interface on 16:9 displays and maps for the Virtual Matrix Controller. Other features include logical camera groups, flexible frame rates, alarm alerts, and alarm investigation tools.
