Lenel Systems International of Pittsford, New York, has launched goVision, a powerful standalone digital video recorder. Built on an efficient embedded platform, it simplifies storage and retrieval of surveillance video and enables monitoring and maintenance of multiple units. The recorder also provides an upgrade path to the company’s full OnGuard installation when needs increase. The recorder supports up to 16 video channels, live recording at up to 30 frames per second, and as much as two terabytes of onboard video storage. The network capable recorder and all its functions can be managed remotely. Multiple video recording modes that are supported include continuous, event-driven, motion-detected, and scheduled. Data can be exported to a variety of external storage devices, including high-capacity DVD writers, USB-enabled drives, and eSATA drives.
