CyberLock technology from Videx of Corvallis, Oregon, brings key control and an audit trail to padlocks. The electronic padlock cannot be compromised by conventional lock-picking methods, and the CyberKey cannot be duplicated. Access can be restricted to authorized users for specific times of day and dates. Every time the key opens a padlock, a record is stored in both lock and key, creating an audit trail. Two new padlocks with stainless-steel components have been added to the line. The Hockey Puck has a stainless-steel body and antidrilling features built into the core. When closed, the buried shackle prevents attacks from bolt-cutters. The Bar Bell padlock has a stainless-steel core and locking post. Environmentally sealed with O-rings to prevent water and dirt from reaching its core, it is ideal for sealing underground utility vaults and marine cargo containers.
