New versions of XProtect Enterprise 6.5 IP video management software from Milestone Systems of Copenhagen, Denmark, support H.264 compression technology and more than a dozen languages. The languages include Arabic, Chinese, Czech, Danish, Dutch, English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Russian, Spanish, and Swedish, and they cover the Smart Client graphical user interface, online help function, installation procedures, and some remote clients. Multi-streaming optimizes bandwidth, with one stream going from the camera to the server and splitting into two differentiated streams for recording at an optimal frame rate and resolution, while viewing at lower rates. Dynamic archiving allows stored video data to span multiple disks automatically. Two-way audio enables operators to communicate verbally while viewing remotely, and the platform supports integration of video with analytics, alarms, access control, and point-of-sale systems.
