The ELMO SN2230IPII Day/Night network camera is designed for simple installation. The self-contained IP66-rated unit from ELMO USA Corporation of Plainview, New York, includes power over Ethernet support via the camera’s existing CAT5 network connection. The design eliminates the need for both an outdoor housing and an external power source, reducing infrastructure requirements to a single cable. The built-in Web server offers dual-compression format and analog video output. The camera captures details in lighting conditions that range from brilliant glare to nearly complete darkness. Built-in infrared illuminators have a range of 25 to 30 feet. Minimum lighting is 0.35 lux for color and 0.045 lux for black-and-white. The camera delivers simultaneous MPEG-4 and M-JPEG output over the network for video viewable via standard Web browsers or through PC software at the same time that NTSC video output is sent to an analog CCTV system for display or recording.
