GeViScope from Geutebrück GmbH of Windhagen, Germany, uses an Aimetis kernel algorithm to provide high-performance video assistance. The software filters CCTV information and reports a range of different objects and behaviors requiring attention or investigation. Such observations as person, car, fast, slow, wrong direction, object appearing, and object disappearing can be recognized either separately or logically combined. Alerts automatically activate recording from particular cameras, switch pictures of the event to another viewer station, trigger alarms, direct dome systems, change the site plan on the screen, or inform a host management team. In dual-sensor mode, the video assistant can be operated in parallel with its video motion detector to monitor perimeters, open sites, and buildings. This software upgrade also provides statistical functions, fast picture searching, selective backup, and fading long-term memory.
