K-WEB is a new Web client from Keyscan Access Control Systems of Whitby, Ontario, Canada, that offers remote management of the company’s System VII access control system. Unlike other access control solutions, K-WEB does not compromise building or enterprise security by placing access panels on the Web, and it requires no monthly access fees. It provides dealers with the tools to host access control installations in a central-station-type environment and either charge fees to clients or allow end users to host their own access control systems. The software enables remote cardholder management, report generation, and system status and alarm review. All activities can be performed securely using a Web browser and an active Web connection.
