Security Patrol Vehicles

We are investigating our option with regard to security patrol vehicles. We have a 66 acre facility with numerous parking areas. We aer currently using GEM cars (electric vehicles) and have had no success with them as they are not made to handle the rigors of security use. As I am sure many are concerned with fuel costs and the Green movement so we are looking for a reliable alternative.

Any ideas you could provide would be appreciated.

Saw your posting and wanted to ask about the GEM car.  We are considering buying one, however it appears you have not had good experience with them.  Can I ask what you decided on and how it is working for you.
