JVC Professional Products of Wayne, New Jersey, has added a new network video recorder to its V.Networks line. The fully integrated VR-N900U records images from both analog and IP cameras. It comes with fully licensed Milestone software installed, and it provides simple configuration and management of all sizes of surveillance systems, using either conventional front-panel controls or with an optional keypad and mouse. For large-scale IP security systems, multiple recorders can be connected via network servers. The unit can operate as a standalone unit (without a PC) and fits within an existing network infrastructure. Each recorder can manage and record up to nine cameras simultaneously from an unlimited number of cameras on the network. It can record from any of the four analog outputs.
