Nedap Security Management of Groenlo, The Netherlands, has introduced AEOS 2.2 Enterprise Edition, with improved management features and expanded security options. Security Levels is a new feature that gives security managers more control of access to their premises in crisis situations. Extra filters, such as schedule and locker filters, have been added. Photos stored in the security-management system can be given limited validity to help guards and receptionists determine whether the person carrying a badge is the owner of that badge. The system also has improved biometrics, including a search-by-fingerprints option. Security managers can put more restrictions on the movements of people with temporary access rights. Extended Visitor Management speeds processing at reception desks and reduces human error in the database.
