SKM-Mobile is the new wireless video surveillance management solution from videoNEXT of Chantilly, Virginia. Using the company’s Security Knowledge Manager technology on mobile devices allows organizations to monitor and control live video surveillance cameras and receive alarm and event data remotely. The system enables security personnel to use a PDA or mobile phone working on Windows Mobile version 5 or 6 to control the system. The application is password protected and incorporates advanced video analytic technology to send alerts to the wireless device when user-defined events occur. Users can also play back recorded and archived video on the device. The solution works with nearly any IP, digital, or analog camera, runs on any Intel or compatible server, and uses an organization’s existing security and data infrastructure.
