Samsung Techwin America of Carson, California, has expanded its line of security cameras and digital video recorders. Using its two core digital signal processing technologies (SV-IV and W-IV), the company can offer products with advanced optical and image processing capabilities. Cameras are equipped with a 3D digital noise-filtering system that yields a signal-to-noise ratio of 52 decibels. The cameras work better in low light and require up to 70 percent less digital bandwidth and storage space than ordinary cameras. Cameras provide 560 to 580 TV lines of resolution and offer features that enhance low-light performance. Other features include motion detection, privacy masking, highlight compensation, and image flip.
