Elmridge Protection Products, LLC, of Boynton Beach, Florida, has introduced the iEvac Fire Escape Hood, which has earned certification to the new American Standard ANSI/ISEA110. It protects against fire-related risks, including toxic gases, harmful particulates, and life-threatening physical hazards. The hood contains a HEPA filter that removes more than 99.97 percent of submicron particles such as anthrax, smallpox, and radioactive particles. It also protects against carbon monoxide, smoke, hydrogen cyanide, sulfur dioxide, other gases, particulates, fumes, soot, ammonia, chlorine, phosphine, and radiant heat. One universal size can be put on in 30 seconds. It features dual cartridges in a compact, lightweight design, and it is vacuum-sealed in a foil bag for a long shelf life. High visibility reflective strips afford easy recognition. It accommodates eyeglasses, beards, and long hair.
