Dedicated Micros of Chantilly, Virginia, has introduced the DV-IP HD video server, which was developed specifically for security applications requiring megapixel network cameras and high-definition displays. It features the company’s third-generation video codec processors and multibus architecture. The unit is compact so it can be rack-mounted or placed on a desk. The server supports high-definition recording, playback, and local 1080i HDMI monitor outputs. The local playback through attached monitors eliminates the requirement to stream video to separate viewing stations. The unit’s TransCoding feature allows the video to be scaled to different resolutions and frame rates for remote viewing. The unit is equipped with NetVu Connected architecture for interoperability with other NetVu Connected products.
