Altronix of Brooklyn, New York, has introduced networked power solutions for professional video, security, and life safety applications. Power over Ethernet (PoE) products include both mid-span and endpoint solutions over CAT5 cabling up to 100 meters. The units deliver reliable, cost-effective, and performance-enhancing solutions. Power-over-Network (a term coined by Altronix) solutions power IP cameras that are not PoE compliant via CAT5 cabling up to 100 meters. These cost-effective solutions save on equipment, cabling, and installation costs. The company has also introduced the StrikeIt2 Panic Device Power Controller, which operates one 24-VDC panic device with an auxiliary power output for peripherals such as a card reader, keypad, request-to-exit or passive infrared device, timer, or relay.
