The Rapid Eye Active Alert is a new digital video recorder from Hon­ey­well of Louisville, Kentucky, that includes embedded video analytics. It allows users to analyze and classify behaviors captured on camera without additional workstations or servers to support analytics software. The unit can capture 480 images per second and uses a Linux-based operating system for performance and reliability. Users can install their choice of analytics on up to eight channels, on a channel-by-channel basis. The analytics can look for more than 35 different events. Powerful search tools instantly search each camera view to locate video and enable users to define individualized event and alarm settings. The analytics capabilities help prevent missed detections and false alarms by automatically detecting, classifying, and tracking incidents in real time and using advanced algorithms to identify and analyze objects and behaviors.
