Vicon Industries Inc. has expanded its Roughneck line of impact-resistant camera domes with two new models. The new models—one analog and one IP-based—feature digital noise reduction so that they can perform in light levels as low as 0.3 lux.

Vicon Industries Inc. has expanded its Roughneck line of impact-resistant camera domes with two new models. The new models—one analog and one IP-based—feature digital noise reduction so that they can perform in light levels as low as 0.3 lux. A heater is available for the IP model to allow for outdoor operations in any weather. Cameras feature a 3.3- to 12-millimeter varifocal auto-iris lens. They can be positioned either horizontally or vertically, allowing for a wide range of viewing angles. The mounting base screws directly to walls and ceilings, reducing installation time, and accessory kits are available for pendant or in-ceiling mounting. Both models can be used with the ViconNet digital video management system.
