Deister Electronics USA, Inc., of Manassas, Virginia, and Strike Industries of Pompano Beach, Florida, have partnered to offer electronic key control solutions for the correctional facilities market. Deister’s proxSafe key management system, which uses RFID key tags, and its companion software have been refined to address the needs of correctional clients. Strike has written a software subset that provides full integration into existing access control and HMI systems. By maintaining standard user interfaces for alarming and key movement, the software allows cli­ents to reduce manpower and protect the security of keyed locking systems inside the facilities.
