Sometimes malware can render computers nearly or completely inoperable. A VIPRE Rescue Program scan can remove rootkits and other malware and log removal events.

Sometimes malware can render computers nearly or completely inoperable. It can shut down command prompts and other major Windows system tools and disable security products.

The free utility VIPRE Rescue Program can be run as a regular executable or through a command line prompt whether a machine is running in normal or safe mode. Its scan can remove rootkits and other malware and log removal events.

Users may want to download the tool from a second computer, to help ensure that updates remain current. It can be placed on a USB flash drive and loaded on the infected system. Made by a popular anti-malware vendor, it employs the same malware definitions as the company’s full client-security product.
