SmarterDVR 200 from Smarter Security Systems, Ltd., of Austin, Texas, records, stores, and transmits video and snapshots taken by up to four outdoor surveillance cameras. Full pan-tilt-zoom control of connected cameras is enabled by intui­tive client software or a Web interface. E-mail alerts notify responders of any intrusions, and the responder can use the unit’s interface to access real-time video and zoom in on the threat. An optional cell modem enables deployment in remote locations where there is little infrastructure. The unit is also offered in an enclosure designed to withstand harsh environmental conditions.
