This free Windows program uses intelligent monitoring to detect bot-like behavior.

Bots, malicious programs run by remote servers, are infecting millions of computers worldwide, carrying out activities including launching denial of service attacks, stealing data, and sending spam. RUBotted, a free Windows program, uses intelligent monitoring to detect bot-like behavior. Any good antivirus program should be able to catch most bots, but this program, relatively small in size and system usage, could be a good second defense layer; it runs along with virtually all anti-malware programs.

Upon detecting suspicious behavior, it prompts users to run a scan with an AV program. If users lack AV, or want to gain a second scan to better ensure a potential bot’s removal, this product’s vendor also offers a free AV scanning service. Find the program at this month’s Site to See.
