Smarter Security Systems of Austin, Texas, has introduced the SmarterSentry GTX, a mobile surveillance unit designed to provide live video from virtually anywhere. Its helicopter hooks allow it to be placed even where roads are not available. One person can deploy the system in less than 20 minutes. It includes a digital video recorder that enables 30 frames per second for each of four standard cameras and up to one terabyte of storage. Powered by a quiet propane generator, it offers remote connectivity for live and recorded video via satellite, cellular, or mesh network. A dur­a­ble case protects an LCD monitor and waterproof keyboard that can be connected to the recorder for local management.
