Video Synopsis from BriefCam, Ltd. of Neve Ilan, Israel, has been fully embedded onto the Ocularis Video Management Platform from On-Net Surveillance Systems, Inc. of Pearl River, New York. Video Synopsis is a proprietary image-processing technology that creates a summary of original surveillance video and lets users review hours of footage in just a few minutes. The summary is indexed to the original video, real-time video feed, and archival video footage for event tracking, forensics, and evidence discovery. Using the Ocularis platform allows users to view, manage, and record video from an unlimited number of cameras while integrated with other security and transactions systems. Because the two systems are embedded, the customer saves the cost of acquiring additional dedicated hardware to run the application, and the video runs as if it were another camera stream, rather than in a separate window.
