Southwest Microwave of Tempe, Arizona, has introduced the newest-generation INTREPID intelligent perimeter-detection sensors, offering an integrated, multitechnology solution to address diverse outdoor perimeter threats. It provides fence, buried cable, and digital microwave protection alternatives with single-platform networking. The INTREPID MicroPoint II fence detection sensor and MicroPoint II buried cable sensor offer unique detection capabilities to protect even the highest security sites, including precise target location to 10 feet, software-based zone assignment with tie-in to CCTV presets, and discrimination between legitimate attacks and nuisances. The all-weather, K-band INTREPID MicroWave 330 digital microwave link, with an 800-foot detection range, six field-selectable modulation channels, and microwave path monitoring, protects open areas, gates, rooftops, and walls. The system allows deployment of any combination of fence, buried cable, and microwave solutions.
